KATHMANDU: One person died and four others fell ill after consuming wild mushrooms in Raksirang Rural Municipality of Makwanpur district on Sunday.
According to the District Police Office in Makwanpur, five members of a family in Daguwang, Raksirang-7, became ill after eating wild mushrooms. They were rescued by neighbors and taken to Bharatpur Hospital for treatment.
“Bal Bahadur Praja died while undergoing treatment,” the police reported.
Bal Bahadur’s wife, Jalimaya (45), daughters Renju (15) and Sabina (8), and son Suhil (10) are currently receiving treatment.
