One dead, five injured in Kavresthali bus accident

KATHMANDU: A woman died and five others were injured in a road accident in Kavresthali of Kathmandu on Thursday.

According to DSP Navaraj Adhikari, the spokesperson for District Police Range Kathmandu, Ramita Tolangi (27) of Dhading died when a passenger bus met with an accident near Bhedigoth in Tarakeshwar Municipality-2. “Tolangi passed away while she was being rushed to hospital for treatment,” Adhikari added.

Bus driver Sushil Damai (26) of Sindhuli and his assistant Krishna Tamang of Tarakeshwar-2 as well as Gopal Damai (26), Tek Bahadur Marshyangdi (25) and Pabtira Tolangi (18) were injured in the accident.

The injured are receiving treatment at Mega Green City Hospital in Jarankhu, according to Adhikari.
