KATHMANDU: Minister for Finance and CPN-UML Vice Chairperson Bishnu Prasad Paudel has firmly stated that KP Sharma Oli will be the unanimous candidate for the position of Chairperson in the party’s 11th general convention.
In an interview to the RSS news agency on Thursday, Paudel said that there is no need for an alternative to Oli’s leadership, citing his unparalleled contributions and capability to lead both the party and the nation.
“Leadership is not a matter of desire but of history, contribution, competence, and national as well as international acceptability,” said Paudel, adding that Oli’s unmatched vision, unwavering commitment, and results-oriented approach make him the ideal leader for CPN-UML.
Paudel described Oli as a “visionary leader” who prioritizes national interest above all and has the resilience to stand firm against challenges, including “anti-current” forces when necessary.
Highlighting Oli’s broad appeal across diverse demographics and his ability to elevate Nepal’s international standing, Paudel lauded him as a “living encyclopedia” with extraordinary memory and problem-solving skills.
Paudel exuded confidence that Oli will be elected unanimously.
