
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a meeting with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya in Bangkok on Thursday on the sidelines of the sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).
The meeting between the two leaders covered bilateral relations, shared interests and various other topics, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, Prime Minister Oli’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal and Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, among other senior Nepali officials, were present in the meeting.
The Prime Minister is on an official visit to Thailand before the BIMSTEC Summit. He held bilateral talks with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. He is also expected to meet other leaders on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit.
