Oli interacts with Nepali diaspora in Spain

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held an interaction with members of the Nepali diaspora in Madrid on Wednesday evening.

Oli is currently in Spain to participate in the 4th Financing for Development conference.

Speaking on the occasion, Oli urged the Nepali diaspora to utilize the knowledge, experience and capital gained abroad for the development and prosperity of Nepal. He encouraged them to return and engage in suitable professions and businesses in the homeland, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

Oli clarified that the current government was formed through the collaboration of the two major political parties to ensure stability and development in the country. He also reiterated his commitment to handing over power to Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba a few weeks ahead of the schedule set by the two parties.

He also clarified that there were no issues or disputes within the ruling coalition or his party, CPN-UML.

Oli’s Chief Advisor and UML Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Nepali Ambassador to Spain Shanil Nepal, Secretary of the Non-Resident Nepali Forum’s International Committee and Head of the Organization Department Hem Sherpa, Coordinator of the Europe Continent Committee Mukta Bahadur Gurung, President of the Forum’s Spain Chapter Kedar Dhungana, President of the Madrid Committee Shivraj Sigdel, and President of the Portugal Chapter Deepak Kshetry, among others, were present on the occasion.
