NTB hands over 14 motorbikes to Tourist Police

KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has provided 14 motorcycles to the Tourist Police unit of Nepal Police to strengthen the capacity of its personnel for immediate rescue and crisis management.

At a ceremony held on the NTB premises on Thursday, NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi handed over the keys of the motorcycles to Ram Krishna Lamichhane, Director General of the Department of Tourism.

According to Surya Thapaliya, senior manager of the NTB, the motorcycles were provided to improve the service delivery of the Tourist Police. He added that the availability of the new vehicles would make the Tourist Police’s services faster and more effective.

Similarly, Director General Lamichhane expressed gratitude for the support, stating that it would further strengthen emergency rescue operations and crisis management in the tourism sector.
