KATHMANDU: The winner of the Nepal Super League (NSL) will receive Rs 7 million as prize money.
Nepal Sports and Events Management Pvt Ltd, the organizers of NSL, stated on Wednesday that the prize money for NSL has been doubled this year
The winner of the first season of NSL held in 2021 received Rs 3.5 million as prize money.
According to the organizers, the first runner-up will receive Rs 2 million. Likewise, the best player will get Rs 200,000, while the top scorer and the best goalkeeper will be richer by Rs 100,000 each.
Kathmandu Rayzrs lifted the NSL title in 2021, defeating Dhangadhi FC in the final. This year, however, Kathmandu Rayzrs have crashed out of the Eliminator, conceding a 0-3 defeat against Lalitpur. Dhangadhi FC, on the other hand, has already qualified for the final, defeating Pokhara Thunders in the 1st Qualifier. It will meet the winner of the 2nd Qualifier between Pokhara Thunders and Lalitpur City in the final to be played on Saturday.
