KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden has said that there were no immediate plans to join the government.
Addressing a meeting of its district chairpersons in Kathmandu on Thursday, Lingden said whether the party will join the government in the future will depend on circumstances. “It cannot be decided based on individual wishes only,” he added.
Lingden also said the party would analyze the difference between being in the government and opposition. “We made some important achievements while we were in the government in the past,” he added.
He made it clear that the leadership would not take any actions that would compromise the party’s agenda.
Lingden saidd that the party stands for constitutional amendment because their views differ on fundamental aspects of the constitution.
