
KATHMANDU: Police have arrested nine individuals on the charge of vandalism and looting at Koteshwar outlet of Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket during Friday’s pro-monarchy protests.
According to the Kathmadu Valley Crime Investigation Office, those arrested include Ashish Singh from Dhalebar of Dhanusha, Prem Kumar Mahato from Barathawa of Sarlahi, Ravi Ranjan kumar from Bihar state of India, Sushila Kumal from Bidur of Nuwakot, Elisa Rai from Dharan of Sunsari; Bal Kumari Karki from Narephant of Kathmandu, Nirmala Karki from Chautara of Sindhupalchowk, and Chitramaya Basnet and Susmita Baral from Tinpatan of Sindhuli.
According to SP Angur GC, they were arrested from different parts of Kathmandu. Police also recovered stolen goods from them.
All the suspects are currently in the custody of the Metropolitan Police Circle, New Baneshwar, for further investigation.
