KATHMANDU: The Next-Gen Ford Ranger Raptor has been launched in the Nepali market.
Issuing a statement, Ford Nepal said the updated version of the Ranger Raptor is designed and engineered by Ford Performance. “Packed with new features to tackle off-road terrain, the next-gen Ranger Raptor introduces the new twin-turbo 3.0-litre Eco Boost V6 petrol engine producing up to 397PS at 5,650rpm and 583Nm of
torque at 3,500rpm tuned by Ford Performance, enabling phenomenal performance on and off-road,” it added.
The next-gen Ranger Raptor features next-generation FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass shock absorbers which, according to the company, are the most sophisticated ever on Ranger Raptor and can adapt in real-time, with sensors placed around the vehicle enabling the shocks to adjust damping rates at each corner 500 times a second.
According to the company, the latest offering from Ford features up to seven selectable drive modes. Likewise, the new interior has been designed for hardcore off-road racers. Similarly, the all-new performance seats for the front and rear, inspired by the seats in an F-22 Raptor jet fighter, keep passengers firmly placed whether on- or off-road, the company added in the statement.
The next-gen Ranger Raptor comes with a fully digital cabin, with a high-resolution 12.4-inch digital cluster and a 12-inch center touchscreen boasting Ford’s new-generation SYNC 4A®.
The pickup is available in four exciting colors – Absolute Black, Arctic White, Code Orange and Conquer Grey. It is available for Rs 21.5 million.
