KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index posted a nominal gain of 6.78 points, closing trading at 2,607.99 points on Monday.
Share prices of 118 companies advanced during the session, while 117 declined and eight remained unchanged.
River Falls Power Ltd recorded the highest turnover of the session, with shares worth Rs 240.18 million traded. Next were Himalayan Power Partner Ltd and NRN Infrastructure & Development Ltd, with turnovers of Rs 182.05 million and Rs 163.46 million, respectively.
Among trading groups, five sub-indices logged losses, while eight posted gains. The “Others” sub-index posted the highest gain of 2.13%, while the Finance sub-index suffered the biggest loss of 2.54%.
Daily turnover slightly improved to Rs 6.57 billion during the session, as 13.67 million units of scrips were traded on the bourse through 74,403 transactions.
