KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) posted a nominal gain of 4.19 points, closing the week’s last trading day at 2,630.71 points on Thursday.
Share prices of 163 scrips advanced during the session, while 70 advanced and nine remained unchanged. Prabhu Bank Ltd logged the highest turnover of Rs 507.78 million. Next were Janaki Finance Ltd and Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd with Rs 223.92 million and Rs 153.92 million worth of shares traded, respectively.
Among trading groups, three sub-indices posted gains while the remaining 10 ended the session in red. The biggest loss came from the Finance sub-index which was down by 2.7%. Likewise, the Trading sub-index posted the highest gain of 2.31%, followed by Banking which was up by 1.81%.
Daily turnover reached Rs 5.32 billion on Thursday through 61,839 transactions.
