KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) extended its winning run for a third straight session, closing trading a nominal 4.08 points higher at 2,613.08 points on Tuesday.
Unit prices of 129 scrips declined during the session, while 106 advanced and eight remained unchanged. CEDB Hydropower Development Company Ltd logged the highest turnover of the session with Rs 237.63 million worth of shares traded. Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd and Nepal Reinsurance Company Ltd followed with turnovers of Rs 216.69 million and Rs 205.36 million, respectively.
Among trading groups, five suffered losses, while eight ended the session in the green. The biggest gain came from the Others sub-index, which was up by 2.79%. Likewise, the Trading sub-index posted the biggest loss of 2.1%.
Daily turnover slightly fell to Rs 6.19 billion on Tuesday, with 11.62 million units of shares traded through 69,840 transactions.
