KATHMANDU: The market made a slight correction after three straight days of gains on Thursday. The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) shed 8.30 points and closed trading at 2,748.05 points on the last trading day of the week.
Share prices of 195 companies declined during the session, while 49 advanced. Excel Development Bank Ltd logged the highest turnover of the session with Rs 310.86 million worth of shares traded. Next were Nepal Finance Ltd and Miteri Development Bank Ltd with turnovers of Rs 297.41 million and Rs 279.42 million.
The sub-indices of three trading groups gained during the session, while other 10 fell. The bigest gain came from Development Bank sub-index which was up by 1.05 points. Similarly, Hydropower and Other sub-indies logged losses of 1.58% and 1.41%, respectively.
The market logged a turnover of Rs 8.54 billion through 83,128 transactions.
