KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index shed 20.75 points to close trading at 2,642.15 points on Tuesday.
Nepse closed 8.16% lower on Monday.

Despite the index’s decline, daily turnover slightly improved to Rs 8.36 billion with 20.55 million units traded through 83,075 transactions.
Ridi Power Company Ltd logged the highest turnover of the session with Rs 533.61 million worth of shares traded. Ankhu Khola Jalavidut Company ltd and Ngadi Group Power Ltd followed with turnovers of Rs 445.28 million and Rs 312.86 million, respectively.
Among sectoral indices, except for Mutual Fund and Trading sub-indices, which posted marginal gains, all trading groups ended the session in the red. The biggest loss came from the Finance sub-index, which was down 2.11%. Next were Hydropower and Hotels & Tourism sub-indices with losses of 1.63% and 1.19%, respectively.
