Nepal’s envoy to South Korea Tumbahangphe presents her letters of credence

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s ambassador to South Korea Dr Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe presented her letters of credence to the Acting President of the Republic of Korea, Choi Sang-mok in Seoul on Tuesday.

According to the Embassy of Nepal in Seoul, Ambassador Tumbahangphe also held a courtesy meeting with Acting President Sang-mok after presenting her credentials.

During the meeting, Ambassador Tumbahangphe highlighted the importance of high-level visits in strengthening bilateral relations, particularly as Nepal and Korea mark 50 years of diplomatic ties.

She expressed commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries during her tenure and added that over 100,000 Nepali workers in South Korea have contributed to both the Korean economy and people-to-people relations between the two nations.

Acting President welcomed Ambassador Tumbahangphe and assured his full support in promoting Nepal-Korea relations. He also wished her a successful tenure.

Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul and high-ranking Korean officials as well as Nepal’s Deputy Chief of Mission in Seoul, Pushpa Raj Bhattarai, were also present on the occasion.
