KATHMANDU: The Nepali Women’s U-19 football team played a 1-1 draw with Bhutan in a friendly match at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu on Sunday.
Nepal, who took the lead in the match, had to settle for a draw after conceding a late equalizer. The first half ended goalless, but three minutes after the restart, Sushila KC put Nepal ahead with a shot from the penalty box that sailed into the Bhutanese net. Phuntso Chhoden equalized for Bhutan in the 81st minute.
Earlier on Friday, Bhutan’s Women’s U-15 team had defeated Nepal 5-1.
