KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in Manama, Bahrain, organized a “Nepal Tourism and Business Networking Event” in Manama on Saturday to promote Nepal’s tourism and investment opportunities among Bahraini officials, business leaders and media.

Over 100 participants attended the event, including dignitaries from the Bahrain Chamber, Bahrain Businessmen’s Association and Bahrain SME Society, along with MP Mohamed Husain Janahi and senior Bahraini officials, according to a statement issued by the embassy.

Speaking at the event, Nepal’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Tirtha Raj Wagle, highlighted untapped business potential between the two countries and proposed establishing a Nepal–Bahrain Business and Friendship Forum to further facilitate bilateral trade and investment. He also encouraged business leaders and private sector representatives to explore business and investment opportunities between the two countries.

On the occasion, Deputy Chief of Mission Sujana Aryal made a presentation on investment and tourism prospects in Nepal.

“The guests were also introduced to the diverse tourist attractions in Nepal through banners and promotional videos of Nepali products such as tea, coffee, pashmina, herbs and spices,” the statement added.
