KATHMANDU: India defeated Nepal to claim the title of the inaugural Men’s Kho Kho World Cup at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday.
India took a commanding 26-0 lead in Turn 1. Nepal narrowed the deficit to 26-18 by the end of Turn 2.
However, India extended their lead to an unassailable 54-18 after Turn 3. Nepal managed to score only 18 points in Turn 4, resulting in a 54-36 defeat.
Earlier, Nepal’s women’s team suffered a 78-40 loss in the final of the women’s event.
