KATHMANDU: Nepal’s ambassador to Pakistan, Tapas Adhikari, paid a farewell call on Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the latter’s office in Islamabad on Thursday.
Matters related to Nepal-Pakistan bilateral relations as well as regional cooperation through SAARC were discussed during the meeting, according to a press statement issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad.
“The Prime Minister appreciated the role of Ambassador Adhikari in further strengthening Nepal-Pakistan relations during his tenure in Islamabad and wished him a bright career ahead,” it added.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant of the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi, Foreign Secretary Ms Amna Baloch, senior Pakistani officials, and Lok Bahadur Chhetri, Minister Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission from the embassy, were present on the occasion.
