KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Ambassador to Pakistan Tapas Adhikari Monday met with Syed Tariq Fatemi, the foreign affairs assistant to Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif.
Issues related to bilateral relations between Nepal and Pakistan and its historical development were discussed during the meeting, according to an official at the Embassy of Nepal in Pakistan. “During the meeting, regional cooperation in the South Asia region and ways to advance the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) was also discussed,” the official said.
On the occasion, Fatemi expressed his regret over the postponement of the SAARC Summit to be held in Islamabad at the last minute, the official added.
