KATHMANDU: A Nepali travel delegation participated in ITB Berlin 2024 held in Berlin from March 5-7.
Nepal’s participation in ITB Berlin, one of the leading travel trade shows in the world, was coordinated by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter. A total of 40 tourism and hospitality companies from Nepal participated in the annual travel show, according to a press statement issued by PATA Nepal Chapter.
ITB Berlin brought together over 5,500 exhibitors from 170 countries. Nepal’s ambassador to Germany, Ram Kaji Khadka, inaugurated the Nepali Pavilion on the opening day. Speaking on the occasion, Khadka commended the efforts of the Nepali travel trade community for ensuring Nepal’s significant and impressive presence at the world’s largest platform for tourism promotion.
The Nepal Pavilion featured diverse products and service providers, including adventure operators, airlines, hoteliers, tour operators, mountaineering, trekking, and expedition operators, as well as medical and wellness enterprises, all offering transformative, immersive, and unforgettable lifetime experiences in Nepal, PATA Nepal Chapter said in the statement.
PATA Nepal Chapter also promoted the Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM), which is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from June 4 to 7, at ITB Berlin.
