Nepal playing final match of World Cup, AFC qualifier today

KATHMANDU: Nepal is taking on Yemen in its final match of the 2nd Round Qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2027 AFC Asian Cup in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday.

The match will be played at Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium at 11:45 pm.

Nepal faced a 0-2 defeat in the first leg of the qualifier against Yemen.

Nepal is winless and pointless after five matches of the qualifier. Nepal has conceded 16 goals in five matches of the qualifier. It has failed to score in the five matches.

Nepal played all its home matches in foreign soil after the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) ruled Dashrath Stadium unfit to host international matches. It played home matches of the qualifier against Bahrain at Rifa, and against UAE om Dammam.

Nepal is playing its final home match of the Qualifier against Yemen in Dammam.
