Nepal International Tourism Expo from Friday

KATHMANDU: A two-day Nepal International Tourism Expo (NITE) is kicking off in Kathmandu on Friday.

Speaking at a press meet organized on Thursday, Bishnu Pandey, the managing director of Summit Events and Markets – the organizers of the event, said all preparations for the travel expo have been completed. “We are organizing this expo to connect Nepal’s tourism sector with the international market,” Pandey added.

The expo is expected to draw over 1,000 visitors, according to the organizers. Likewise, 155 travel and hospitality companies from 16 countries, including India, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, the Maldives, the US, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka and China, are participating in the expo.

The expo will also feature various panel discussions, according to the organizers.

The event is supported by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and promoted by the Nepal Tourism Board.
