KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated the Maldives in straight sets in its final league match of the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League at the Dasharath Stadium Covered Hall on Monday.
With this victory, Nepal finished second on the table with nine points. The hosts won three matches while they lost to Iran in a tightly-contested match.
Nepal will now meet Iran in the second semifinal on Tuesday, while India plays against Sri Lanka in the first semifinal.
In its last league match, Nepal won the first set 25-18. Despite giving opportunities to players on the bench, Nepal won the second set 25-19 and took the third set 25-20.
