KATHMANDU: Nepal has crashed out of the 2024 ACC Women’s U-19 Asia Cup, conceding a nine-wicket defeat against Bangladesh in its final Super Four match in Malaysia on Friday.
Batting first in the match reduced to 11 overs due to rain, Nepal scored 54 runs for the loss of eight wickets. In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target in the 10th over losing one wicket.
Sabitri Dhami top-scored for Nepal with 11 runs. Puja Mahato and Alisha Yadav scored 9 and 8, respectively. Four Nepali batters were run out.
For Bangladesh, Fahomida Choya scored a not-out 26 while Mosammat Eva scored 21 runs from 18 balls.
Bangladesh will now meet India in the final on Sunday.
