Nepal Army personnel arrested for wife’s murder

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a Nepal Army personnel on the charge of murdering his wife.

According to the District Police Office, Dang, Corporal Shalik Ram Budhathoki has been arrested on the charge of killing his 27-year-old wife, Tika, using a sharp weapon on Friday evening. The incident occurred in the couple’s rented apartment in Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-6.

Shalik Ram, who hails from Kapurkot in Salyan, was deployed at the Bara-based Jwala Dal Battalion, police say.
