Nepal Army Major goes out of contact in Dolpa

KATHMANDU: A Nepal Army (NA) Major has gone missing in Dolpa district.

Bimal Pandit, the chief of Nanda Box Battalion at the district headquarters in Dunai, has been out of contact since Sunday evening.

Bhimishwar Pokharel, the Chief District Officer of Dolpa, informed Himal Press that Major Pandit has been out of contact since Sunday evening. “We have learned that he was headed to Tripura Sundari from the barracks. Currently, we have no information about his whereabouts,” Pokharel said.

According to Pokharel, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and National Investigation Department personnel have intensified their search in the Dunai and Tripura Sundari areas.
