KATHMANDU: The closed-door session of the 2nd Special General Convention of Nepali Congress (NC) has formed an election committee under Senior Advocate Sitaram KC.
According to party leader, Jit Narayan Shrestha, the schedule for today includes the selection of the party’s new leadership.
The establishment faction of the party has been insisting that the special convention, called by two general secretaries and not by the Central Working Committee, lacks legal validity.
The supporters of the special convention, however, say the special convention has been organized as per the party statute. They have called on the party leadership to take ownership of the special convention.
