KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has sought clarification from its Member of the House of Representatives, Rajendra Bajgain, who had made serious allegations against fellow party leader and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey.
NC General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma and Discipline Committee Coordinator Ananda Prasad Dhungana questioned Bajgain at the party office on Tuesday.
Bajgain had earlier leveled various allegations, including issuing casino licenses after soliciting illegal payments, against Minister Pandey. In response, Minister Pandey had filed a complaint against Bajgain with the party.
According to Dhungana, further investigation will determine the course of action after questioning Bajgain. “We questioned him (Bajgain) on Tuesday,” he said. “Some additional inquiries are still pending. Further decisions will be made after investigation and further questioning.”
Bajgain also told the two that he would submit a written response.
