NC not attempting to fail the ruling coalition: Sharma

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Bishwo Prakash Sharma has said his party was not attempting to fail the seven-party ruling coalition.

Talking to media persons after a meeting of senior NC office-bearers held at the residence of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday, Sharma maintained that the NC hasn’t offered the post of prime minister to anyone. “Rumours of NC trying to form a new coalition are baseless. Don’t fall for this,” he said, adding that the NC will play its role responsibly.

It has been said that the leaders held discussions on the parliamentary party meeting scheduled for Saturday and the upcoming central working committee meeting.

Vice presidents duo Purna Bahadur Khadka and Dhana Raj Gurung and general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa, among other leaders, attended the meeting.
