KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Jitendra Narayan Dev has re-entered the CPN-UML.
Dev, who recently completed his term as a member of the National Assembly, was welcomed back to the party by UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli during a function at the party headquarters in Chyasal on Monday.
The former tourism minister had left the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) to join the NC along with Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar.
Dev had originally left the UML to join the Madheshi Janadhikar Forum under the leadership of Upendra Yadav following the political changes of 2006.
Along with Dev, LSP’s Senior Vice President Akbal Ahmed Shah and other leaders and cadres also joined the UML. Shah is a former agriculture minister.
