KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has felicitated Palesha Goverhdan who won a historic bronze medal in the 2024 Paris Paralympics for Nepal.
President Sher Bahadur Deuba handed a letter of appreciation and a check for Rs 500,000 to Palesha at a ceremony organized at the party head office in Sanepa on Sunday.
Palesha won bronze in the women’s taekwondo 57 kg K-44 event defeating Mariza Micev of Serbia 15-8 in Paris Paralympics. She narrowly lost to No.1 ranked Silvana Cardoso of Brazil in the quarterfinal, and contested for the bronze through the repechage route.
