NC has betrayed Maoist Center: Dahal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the Nepali Congress (NC) has betrayed the Maoist Center.

Referring to the formation of the government in Koshi Province, Dahal told the central committee meeting of the party on Monday that the NC has betrayed the Maoist Center in the ruling coalition “NC has betrayed us. We will evaluate this in the meeting of the ruling coalition,” Dahal said. “We are honest to the coalition, but we have been betrayed repeatedly.”

Dahal also said that the Maoist Center will celebrate People’s War Day on Tuesday come what may. “We respect the court’s order, but we will commemorate the day,” he added.

On the occasion, Dahal also said that the Maoist Center is focused on socialism. Stating that the party will be known for its work, not its name, he told central committee leaders to be prepared for the renaming of the party.
