KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that his party will always support industrialists and entrepreneurs.
Speaking at an interaction on the current state of the country’s financial and monetary situation organised by the party’s Financial Institution Coordination Department at the party headquarters in Sanepa on Tuesday, Deuba said his party was ready to help resolve any problems faced by traders and industrialists, as they are the ones who engage in business and industry.
He also said that industrialists and entrepreneurs must work hard themselves and that it is unfair to blame the government and political leaders for everything.
“One of the objectives of the seven-point agreement reached between the NC and CPN-UML during the formation of the current government was to revitalise the country’s economy,” Deuba said. “I can see that economic indicators have become more positive compared to the previous year.”
He also drew the attention of the government to ensure the return of savings in troubled cooperatives to the depositors at the earliest.
