Nawalaparasi clash victim succumbs to injuries

KATHMANDU: One individual died during a clash between two groups at Belaspur in Ward-3 of Palhinandan Rural Municipality of Nawalparasi West on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Bijay Dhamala (35) from Kushma in Palhinandan-3, according to the police.

Dhamala, who sustained injuries during the clash, passed away while undergoing treatment at City Hospital in Bhairahawa. Two others injured – Moharam Pawariya and Baijanath Prasad Loniya – are receiving treatment at the same hospital.

According ot police, the clash occurred at around 10 am on Tuesday following a minor dispute between the two groups. A total of 19 people, including 11 Nepal Police and four Armed Police Force personnel, were injured in the incident. A police vehicle was also set on fire.
