KATHMANDU: Two persons, including the chairperson of Naugad Rural Municipality of Darchula, were injured in a jeep accident in Darchula on Thursday.
The jeep, which was heading to Hoparigad from Sundamunda in Naugad-2, met with an accident at Bagad in Naugad-3 on Thursday afternoon.
Rural Municipality chairperson Daljit Singh Dhami sustained minor injuries, while jeep driver Jayabhan Thagunna was seriously injured, according to Police Inspector Gyanendra Bahadur Singh of District Police Office, Darchula.
Both the injured have been rushed to Dhangadhi for treatment.
The jeep was taken on rent by the rural municipality.
