KATHMANDU: Monsoon-related disasters like floods and landslides have claimed 175 lives so far.

According to Nepal Police Spokesperson DIG Dan Bahadur Karki, three people have died in Kathmandu Valley, 27 in Koshi Province, eight in Madhesh, 31 in Bagmati, 54 in Gandaki, 33 in Lumbini, eight in Karnali Province and 11 in Sudurpaschim.

Forty-nine people are still missing.

Likewise, 224 people across the country have been injured due to floods and landslides, according to Karki.

According to police, floods have damaged 286 houses, 105 animal sheds, 49 bridges, two schools, and two government offices.

Disaster incidents have displaced 4,472 families across the country, according to Karki.
