KATHMANDU: Mohan Acharya of Nepali Congress has been reelected to the House of Representatives from Rasuwa.
Acharya contested the election as the common candidate of the five-party coalition. He received 18,235 votes. His closest contender Chhewang Tenzing Tamang of CPN-UML got 8,614 votes.
Acharya is the promoter of Rasuwa Construction.
Chief Election Officer of Rasuwa, Ram Chandra Poudel said that counting has been completed. According to Acharya, of the 28,211 votes cast in the district, 84 were declared invalid.
