POKHARA: Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) advanced to the quarterfinals of the 25th Aaha-Rara Pokhara Gold Cup, overturning a deficit against the Nepal APF Club on Thursday.
In the third pre-quarterfinal match held at the Pokhara Stadium, Manang registered a 2–1 victory over the departmental side.
APF had taken an early lead in the 11th minute through Yubaraj Rai. The departmental side preserved the 1–0 advantage in the first half. However, MMC made a strong comeback in the second half, scoring twice to seal the win.
Player of the Match Ronish Rajbahak leveled the score in the 57th minute, while Suresh Kumal netted the winner for the MMC in the 77th minute.
Manang will face Thunderbolt United Club of India in the third quarterfinal match.
Planning Boys United face Friends Club in the Gold Cup on Friday.
