KATHMANDU: Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, who is on a visit to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba on Monday.
Issues related to various aspects of bilateral relations, including economic and development assistance, and ongoing projects were discussed during the meeting. In the meeting, Dr Deuba proposed the Indian government to open additional air routes to increase Nepal-India air connectivity. Likewise, she proposed establishing laboratories at Nepal-India border areas to test the quality of imported vegetables and fruits.
The issue of advancing the remaining work on the Pancheshwar Project was also discussed in the meeting. Likewise, she sought Indian assistance for flood control in Banganga, Khando and Rapti rivers
