
KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court has granted permission to detain two leaders of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) – lawmaker Dhawal Shamsher Rana and senior vice-president Rabindra Mishra – in police custody for five days.
With the court’s approval, police can now keep them in custody until at least Tuesday. The detention period will be counted from the day of their arrest i.e, Friday.
Police investigating the Tinkune incident have filed charges against Mishra, Rana and nine others for crimes against the state.
