Minor boy arrested for younger sister’s murder

KATHMANDU: A minor boy has been arrested on the charge of murdering his younger sister.

A few days ago, police had discovered the decomposing body of 11-year-old Durga Bohora in the underground water tank of a house at Khaphonche Tol of Lalitpur.

Superintendent of Police Angur Jisi from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, confirmed that the 15-year-old boy was arrested for the murder of his sister Durga.

According to police, the young boy has admitted to killing his sister under the influence of drugs. “Both had consumed narcotic tablets that day, and the incident occurred under the influence of drugs,” a police officer said.
