KATHMANDU: The meeting of both the houses under the Federal Parliament has been called for today. The meeting of the National Assembly started at 11 am in the Federal Parliament building, New Baneshwore, while the meeting of the House of Representatives has been postponed for two hours and will start at 1 PM.
The Parliament Secretariat said that in today’s meeting, the speaker will read out the letter regarding the certification of the bill received from the office of the President.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari authenticated bills on Tuesday including Bill to Amend and Integrate Statistics Act, Standard, Measurement and Weight Act (Amendment) Bill, Accreditation Bill, Yogmaya Ayurveda University Bill and Bill Related to Oath of Office.
Similarly, in today’s meeting, there is a possible agenda for presenting the amendment proposal made by the National Assembly on the Prison Bill, 2021, according to the Parliament Secretariat.
