Maoist Center won’t split: Dahal CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has dismissed suggestions that the party is splitting as mere rumors.

Talking to reporters at the party office on Thursday, Dahal claimed that the recent Standing Committee meeting of the party addressed any misunderstanding and suspicions within the party. “These are only rumors,” Dahal said. “All misunderstandings in the party have been cleared by this meeting. The speculation about Comrade Prabhakar (Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma) splitting the party is incorrect.”

Dahal also mentioned that he would speak in parliament in the coming days regarding the actions of the current government led by KP Oli. He stated, “I will address the issues concerning this government in parliament soon.”

Commenting on the passage of transitional justice-related by the lower house on Wednesday, Dahal said that the peace process is nearing its conclusion. “We have made all possible efforts to make the law victim-friendly,” he added.
