Maoist Center decides to contest 2027 election on its own

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to contest the 2027 election on its own.

A meeting of the party’s office-bearers, which began at the party headquarters in Koteshwar on Friday, decided to contest the upcoming election without forming any alliances, according to party Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota.

Addressing the meeting on Tuesday, Dahal said the party would contest the upcoming election on its own. “The compulsion to quit the government has provided us with the opportunity to contest the election single-handedly,” Dahal said.

According to Sapkota, the meeting also decided to continue efforts for left cooperation and unity.
