KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) has assigned responsibilities to leaders, who have now retired from student politics due to the age limit of 32 years. These leaders have been given roles within their respective districts and provinces.
According to a circular issued by the Maoist Center on Sunday, former vice-chairpersons Ganesh Prasad Mainali (GP Mainali) has been assigned new responsibility in Bagmati Province, Tukman Mahara in Lumbini Province, Milan MC in Lumbini Province and Lakshmi Prasad Joshi in Sudurpaschim Province.
Similarly, Naresh Regmi has been assigned to the Policy Department, Pravina Adhikari to Gandaki Province, Gajendra Prasad Dev to Madhesh Province, Madan Bhul to Sudurpaschim Province and Madan Bhattarai to Koshi Province.
Likewise, Surya Narayan Sah has been assigned new responsibility in Madhesh Province, Pawan Karki and Kshitij Sapkota in Bagmati Province, Narayan Khanal in the Policy Department, Ammar Rj Shahi in Karnali Province, Achyut Bhatta in Sudurpashchim Province, and Keshav Rawal and Dipesh Pun in Lumbini Province.
While former student leader Birendra Basnet from Jhapa has been nominated as a central committee member, Resham Jugjali Magar from Myagdi, Dhan Bahadur BK from Baglung and Madan Ale from Tanahun have been nominated as alternative central committee members.
