KATHMANDU: A man who was injured during the protest of the Rastriya Prajantra Party (RPP) succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.
According to RPP Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha, Thakur Prasad Dangi of Bardiya passed away while undergoing treatment at Military Hospital, Chhauni, at 4 am.
Dangi had a respiratory problem. The tear gas shell that the police fired during the protest aggravated his condition, and he was subsequently admitted to the hospital.
RPP had organized a Kathmandu-centric protest demanding monarchy and a Hindu state on April 9.
