Mahat accuses PM Dahal of betrayal

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Spokesperson and former Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has accused Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda of disregarding cooperation with the Nepali Congress, his commitment to the people, and the mandate given by the people.

Speaking at a press meet at the NC central office in Sanepa on Tuesday, Mahat said Dahal has betrayed the NC under the pretext of proposals presented at the NC’s Mahasamiti meeting and the National Assembly election in Koshi Province.

“Our central working committee and central work performance committee have already stated that Dahal betrayed NC,” Mahat said. “Dahal has stated in the parliament that a new alliance had to be formed due to betrayal by NC. His statement is wrong and baseless.”

Stating that Dahal has already formed three alliances after the 2022 polls, Mahat said changing alliances has become Dahal’s tendency.
