Madhesh Province: Two newly-appointed ministers sworn in

KATHMANDU: Two newly-appointed ministers of Madhesh Province Government were sworn in on Thursday.

Province Chief Sumitradevi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Minister for Forest and Environment Sanjay Yadav and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism Basant Kushbaha.

This is Kushbaha’s second stint in the Madhesh cabinet. He earlier served as Minister for Land Reforms, Agriculture and Cooperatives in the government of Saroj Kumar Yadav of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal.

Both are provincial assembly members of the Janamat Party.

Janamat, earlier in the day, decided to recall Tribhuvan Sah and Sakil Miyan Ansari from the Madhesh cabinet.

Mahesh Yadav, the parliamentary party leader of Janamat in the provincial assembly, said the two ministers were recalled after reviewing their work performance.
